Fitment nuance per vehicle
Ford Focus
The Active trim sits ~30 mm higher with plastic wheel-arch cladding and a slightly different roof profile, so roof-bar leg lengths differ from Titanium/ST-Line - check the fitting guide for Focus Active specifically. All hatch trims share the same boot mouth, but ST-Line seats have integrated bolsters that trap universal seat covers with elastic side hooks.
Volkswagen Golf
The Golf GTE / eHybrid loses ~110 L of boot volume to its battery pack, and its boot floor is no longer height-adjustable - subwoofer boxes and false-floor organisers sized to the pure-petrol boot sit far too high. Mk8 replaced physical climate buttons with capacitive sliders on the dash (Mk8.5 partly restored them), so stick-on phone-mount pads foul the slider zone if placed low-centre.
