The Mk4 Focus (2018-2025) uses a freestanding infotainment screen that sits proud of the dashboard rather than integrated flush. That leaves a natural adhesive-mount zone on the dash to the left of the screen where a 3M VHB pad bonds cleanly to the soft-touch trim. The screen itself blocks the natural top-of-dash phone-mount spot in the centre.
Vent slats are horizontal on the centre vents; universal vent clips must be horizontal-slat-compatible. The 2022 facelift removed the CD slot entirely - ignore CD-slot mount listings for post-facelift cars. Pre-facelift 2018-2022 Focuses may still have a CD slot depending on build.
Titanium, ST-Line, Active and ST share the same dashboard - only trim finishes differ. Mount fit is trim-agnostic within the Mk4. If your car has factory wireless charging on the centre console (Titanium X and up), a MagSafe mount is redundant for charging but still useful for viewing angle. Otherwise, buy a mount with an integrated Qi coil to combine.
Frequently asked questions
Does the freestanding screen affect adhesive mount placement?
Only in the centre. To the left of the screen or on the sloping dash below, adhesive mounts install cleanly. Do not adhere to the screen bezel.
Are Focus and Fiesta phone mount zones the same?
No. The Fiesta Mk8 has a smaller dashboard with different vent placement despite similar Ford design language.
