Do the A-Class hatch and Saloon share the same floor mats?
Yes for the front pair. The Saloon (V177) has a fractionally longer rear footwell but uses the same rear seat rails and retention pattern; a rear liner cut for the hatch fits the Saloon with a small gap at the front edge that most owners never notice.
Does the A 250 e plug-in hybrid change what fits?
The PHEV’s battery loses ~60 L of boot space and raises the loading floor by ~40 mm. In the passenger cabin, the rear footwell also sits a few millimetres higher. Front mats fit unchanged; rear liners cut for the pure-petrol A-Class overhang the raised sill by a small amount but still clip in correctly.
Are the pre- and post-facelift A-Class mats interchangeable?
Front mats yes - the 2023 facelift moved to physical steering-wheel buttons but did not change the footwell. Rear liners are also cross-compatible; the facelift did not shift the rear-cabin dimensions.
Do AMG Line seats need special mats?
No. The AMG Line seats are more bolstered, which affects seat covers rather than floor mats. Front and rear mats fit any trim.
One thing many buyers miss
Mercedes’ factory Star Pattern rubber mats fit the retention hooks exactly and are inexpensive - a sensible baseline for the UK. Where they fall short is depth; the raised edge is only about 12 mm, so heavy slush spills over. If you drive in winter regularly, a TPE liner (Gledring or WeatherTech) with 20-25 mm edges contains more.
How to check before ordering
- Confirm your car is W177 hatch or V177 Saloon.
- Look under the current driver’s mat for two round posts - W177 pattern.
- If PHEV, expect a small gap at the rear liner front edge unless you buy a PHEV-specific rear set.
