The sixth-generation CR-V (RS, 2023-onwards) brought back Honda’s honeycomb dashboard accent - a horizontal strip that hides the vent apertures behind a mesh grille. That is aesthetic rather than functional but it changes how vent-clip mounts install: the clip has to reach through the honeycomb grille to grip the vent slat behind. Look for slim-profile vent clips rather than wide-jaw designs.

The Mk6 CR-V returned to physical climate buttons after the Mk5 experimented with more touch-sensitive controls. That means the low centre stack is a straightforward zone for adhesive mounts - no capacitive controls to trigger accidentally. The 9-inch touchscreen sits high in the centre stack; place adhesive mounts to the left of it or below.

Elegance, Advance and Advance Tech share the same dashboard - only trim finishes differ. Mount fit is trim-agnostic within the Mk6. Factory wireless charging is standard on Advance and above; use a magnetic mount for viewing angle only, or a Qi-coil mount to combine.

No. Mk5 had a different dashboard layout with separate horizontal vents and a smaller screen. Mount placement is different.

Is the honeycomb dashboard fragile?

The mesh is powder-coated plastic and takes ordinary vent-clip pressure without damage. Removing a clip after long use can leave faint marks; a very slim clip minimises that.
